USPA Skydiving A License Practice Exam

Proper communication among jumpers is essential to ensure the safety of everyone involved during exit procedures. Clear and effective communication helps to coordinate actions among jumpers, such as timing the exit, maintaining order, and ensuring that everyone is ready to jump safely. It minimizes the risk of collisions and misunderstandings, which are critical factors during the chaotic moments leading up to and during the jump. Jumpers must be able to give visual or verbal signals to one another to indicate readiness and to maintain situational awareness as they exit the aircraft.

The remaining options do not directly contribute to safety in the same critical manner. While personal cameras can be fun for documenting jumps, they can distract from the focus required for a safe exit. Jumping in groups of more than ten does not inherently improve safety; rather, larger groups require even more stringent communication and coordination to ensure safety. Lastly, while using a reserve parachute is essential for safety during landing emergencies, it is not relevant to the immediate safety considerations during exit procedures. Thus, effective communication stands out as the cornerstone of safety during these critical moments.
